SPEEDS almost double the limit have been recorded during a check near Musselburgh.
Roads policing officers carried out a speed check on Inveresk’s Carberry Road yesterday morning (Thursday).
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Despite being a 20mph limit, four motorists were detected speeding, the highest speed being 39mph.
“One driver warned, two issued with conditional offers and one reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.”
