DISAPPOINTED drivers arrived at the new Starbucks off the A1 at Gladsmuir this morning to find it still closed - but the petrol station, Co-op, Greggs and Subway at the site have all opened.
Customers expected the coffee giant's second store in East Lothian, located at the new Macmerry Services at the Gladsmuir Junction of the A1, to open this morning at 6am, but when they arrived this morning it was still shut.
The store is now expected to open tomorrow morning (Saturday) instead, joining the Co-op, Greggs, Subway and petrol services at the site, which are now all fully functional.

A driver who had arrived expecting to pick up their coffee told the Courier this morning: "This is really disappointing, I was really looking forward to my iced latte this morning."
The Courier understands that the delay is due to a problem with the tarmac of the drive-through.
A McDonald's is also planned for the site and will open at a later date.
