AN APPEAL has been made for donations of unused children’s books to go to the second-hand bookshop at Newhailes House & Gardens.
A spokesperson for the National Trust for Scotland attraction said: “The summer holidays have significantly depleted our stock.”
Anyone who can help out should drop off the books at the information hub.
The Palladian house played a prominent role in the Scottish Enlightenment.
