FLOOD barriers are being put in place on Musselburgh’s New Street.
High tides and a storm surge are expected in the days ahead and East Lothian Council is taking the “precautionary measure”.
A spokesperson for the local authority said the conditions meant there was “a possibility of coastal flooding”.
High tides are expected at 4.52am and 5.27pm tomorrow (Thursday), followed by 5.34am and 6.10pm on Friday.
