A ROAD closure in Elphinstone has been partially extended due to drainage work.
The current work on the village’s Main Street, between the junctions of Buxley Road and Tranent Road, is due to be in place until Sunday.
An extension to the works means that the road outside 10 to 14 Main Street will remain closed until September 22, while the remainder of the road will reopen to allow greater movement for local traffic.
The closures are in place to facilitate drainage installation for a housing development.
Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained.
The diversion will take motorists along Tranent Road and Duries Park.
