A DAY of live music, entertainment and food trucks hopes to raise money for a local charity and community causes this weekend.
Walk With Scott Charity Day is taking place on Saturday, with a line-up of bands performing on the outdoor stage at Cockenzie House and Gardens.
Up-and-coming talent, as well as seasoned performers, will be entertaining attendees with live music from 2pm to 8pm.
Licensed bars will be serving from noon to 9pm, and a range of food options will be available from the Tuk-In Pizza van outdoors and Cafe Filly inside Cockenzie House.
Children will be catered for with a nine-hole crazy golf course and giant outdoor games.
Visitors can also explore the art galleries, shop and small business studios located inside the house, and a Makers Market running on the same day within the house from 10am to 3pm.
All proceeds from the event will support the Walk With Scott Foundation, which was started by the late Scott Glynn in 2013 to raise money for local causes.
Scott was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to health and charity after raising more than £300,000.
He passed away in 2020 following a battle with cancer but his charity has continued its work in his memory.
A raffle will also be on offer at the charity day, and collection buckets will be dotted throughout the venue to raise funds for the Walk With Scott Foundation, which donates money to various community causes.
The funds from this event will be used to support The Haven, based at The Fraser Centre in Tranent, which aims to support families with children struggling with their mental health.
Karen Kidd, secretary of the Walk With Scott Foundation, said: “It’s something very close to all of our hearts.
“Saturday's event is going to be a great day. Let's just hope there's no rain!"
Up next on the calendar is the charity’s biggest fundraiser of the year, a walk through the streets of East Lothian, with the 12th iteration set to take place on Saturday, August 31.
