THUNDERSTORMS are forecast for East Lothian until the early afternoon today (Monday).
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering mainland Scotland until 1pm.
The warning notes that thunderstorms may “cause some disruption and damage to infrastructure” during the day.
People are warned to be aware of “spray and sudden flooding” on roads while there is “a slight chance” that power cuts could also occur.
The warning reads: “There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lighting strikes, hail or strong winds.”
