A FORMER shop in Innerwick could become part of the surrounding house.
The village has not had a shop for a number of years, with many residents instead travelling to Thurston Manor or Dunbar.
Now, Samantha Smith has applied to East Lothian Council’s planning department for the area, which includes a shop and two storage areas, to be incorporated into the house. Drawings with the application show that the space would be transformed into a kitchen/dining area.
A decision on the application is expected towards the end of next month.
