EMERGENCY services attended an incident in Musselburgh yesterday evening after concerns for a person were reported to them.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) attended Bridge Street and High Street following the reports, with a bridge over the River Esk closed to traffic and pedestrians.
The SFRS were called at 11.26pm and deployed two fire engines, including water and rescue teams.
The SFRS confirmed to the Courier that there were no injuries and the person was safely taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
