POLICE are planning to carry out speeding patrols outside an East Lothian school when pupils return this week following concerns raised previously.
Last month, the Courier reported that North Berwick Community Council (NBCC) had revisited the already-discussed idea of speedwatch patrols in the town.
At their most recent meeting earlier this month, NBCC discussed the idea again with the hope of cracking down on speeding on Law Road and other nearby streets.

According to the community council, the community police officer for the area will carry out speeding patrols outside North Berwick High School when the new term begins.
Kathryn Smith, NBCC secretary, said: "The last CAPP (community and police partnership) meeting was on July 17 and they mentioned speeding on Law View.
"I do not believe that the police are interested about speeding in North Berwick as we were told we should be participating in the community speed watches.
"But they did say that they would go along to Law View and check out drivers when the school starts again, as there seems to be an issue with parents dropping off their children."
Liz Allan, councillor for North Berwick Coastal ward confirmed to the Courier that the speeding checks would go ahead.
