AN EAST Lothian businessman has been flooded with messages after kindly offering free garden labour in his quest to "give back" to the community.
Sam Campbell, of Prestonpans and owner of Naturescapes, set up his gardening company a month ago and, on commencing his new venture, wanted to give back some of his time to the community.
With the 32-year-old's business in full swing, Sam took to Facebook to offer Prestonpans residents an opportunity to have two hours of free labour on a Saturday.
Sam moved to Prestonpans a year ago, from Edinburgh with his partner Kayleigh, and has been overwhelmed by the response he has received since his Facebook post and is now fully booked until the end of September.
Speaking to the Courier, Sam said: "I've always wanted to work as a self-employed workman and I have been doing it for just over a month now, and I have always wanted to give back.
"Part of the dream to work for myself was that I could hopefully set aside time to help people with their gardening work and it has finally come true.
"I have had messages asking me if the offer is still on and it will forever be on, I won't change this regardless of how successful I hopefully become.
"So if you're happy to wait till October, I will book you in from then for the two hours' free labour."
