MESSAGES of condolences for the families of the three girls killed in last week’s attack in Southport are being left at a ‘memory tree’ in Tranent.
Members of the community have written cards filled with their sympathy and support, which will be sent to the victims’ loved ones following the funerals.
Anyone who would like to add their own message is encouraged to visit Co-op Funeral Parlour in Tranent, which is organising the tribute.
The display also features photos of the three children killed in the attack on July 29 - Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine; Bebe King, six; and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven - and a note encouraging locals to leave their own message.
The note reads: “We at Co-op Funeralcare would love to send our love to the families of these beautiful angels that were taken too soon. Please pop in and write a card in memory of them, to show we are thinking of them.”
