The A1 has been closed northbound in East Lothian due to a road traffic accident between Dunbar and East Linton this afternoon.
The accident happened between Thistly Cross and Abbotsview roundabouts with Traffic Scotland alerting drivers of the incident at 4.11pm.
Alternative routes are currently being used due to the current situation with delays expected.
Online, Traffic Scotland left a description of the incident, it reads: "The A1 is closed to all northbound traffic, between Dunbar & East Linton due to a road traffic incident.
"Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal journey times."
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
