RESIDENTS are being asked to root through their wardrobes for unwanted clothes and shoes for an upcoming second-hand sale.
Pennypit Community Centre in Prestonpans is hosting The Big Pick on Wednesday, where a range of clothing items will be available for purchase including dresses, shoes and jackets for adults and children.
Anyone can visit the centre on the day, from 11am to 2pm, with a price of £3 per kilogram.
The event is cash-only and shoppers are asked to bring their own bags.
East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership is organising the second-hand sale with the support of Reuse Scotland SCIO and the East Lothian community payback team, with the aim of ending local textile poverty.
Residents are being asked to help by donating unwanted clothes, shoes and textiles at the black textile banks located at East Lothian recycling centres.
