A DUNBAR motorist has been banned from the road after he drove a vehicle while disqualified.
Charles Hamilton, of High Street, was caught behind the wheel of a vehicle by police officers on the town’s Spott Road on July 20, 2020.
During their investigations, it was discovered that the 42-year-old was using the vehicle after having been banned from driving previously and was still under the conditions of the road ban.
It was also ascertained that, due to his driving ban, he had no valid insurance.
Hamilton pleaded guilty to both offences when he appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on June 24 and sentence had been deferred for reports to last week.
The case called again for sentencing on Monday, where the court was told that the required social work reports were not available.
Sentence was further deferred to September for the reports to be prepared.
