EAST Lothian has been honoured by many visits from members of the Royal Family over the years, including the late Queen Elizabeth II herself.
King Charles III, when he was heir to the throne, visited North Berwick in 2000, the same year that Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, visited Macmerry Primary School.
Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother opened the Brunton Hall in Musselburgh – she had also visited Musselburgh 15 years earlier during the Riding of the Marches in 1956.
Here are a selection of photos of past royal visits to the county. All images are courtesy of East Lothian Archives & Museums unless otherwise stated.
