THE green light has been given for work to be carried out on a Dunbar Primary School campus.
A chimney at the school’s John Muir Campus will be removed, while work will also be carried out on three areas of the flat sections of the roof.
East Lothian Council’s planning department approved the proposals after there were no concerns raised by members of the public.
The planning officer’s report said: “Overall, the proposed works would be of a design, scale, bulk and size that would be appropriate to the existing building and would not constitute an overdevelopment of the property.
“The works would not harm the character and appearance of the building or that of the surrounding area.”
