WALLYFORD singer Brooke Combe has been announced as the opening act for The Jacksons at Fringe by the Sea.
Brooke, 23, has previously performed at TRNSMT in Glasgow, and her debut album, Black Is The New Gold, was shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year last year.
On August 9, she will be taking to the stage in the Big Top in the Lodge Grounds in North Berwick to open for The Jacksons during the festival.
Founded in 1964 and originally The Jackson 5, the Jackson brothers had huge hits throughout the 1960s and 1970s, providing the launchpad for Michael Jackson’s stratospheric solo career.
Brooke announced the good news on her social media platforms.
She said: “This is the stuff I grew up listening to that got me into my soul/disco tunes. Cannot wait for it.”
Last week, the singer also announced her new single Dancing at the Edge of the World, which is out on Thursday.
Her opening set will feature a roster of songs from her first album, showcasing her signature retro sound with remnants of funk and soul.
Brooke Combe followed by The Jacksons will perform to a standing audience between 7pm and 9.45pm.
Tickets are on sale at £49.50; go to fringebythesea.com/the-jacksons to find out more and book.
