A MUSSELBURGH man has been told he must carry out unpaid work as punishment for failing to turn up to court on three separate occasions.
Fraser Black was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to face an allegation of assault but did not show up to hearings planned for February 8 and September 27, 2022.
He also failed to arrive at court when required to do so on October 4 last year.
Black, of North High Street, admitted the three offences during an appearance at the Capital court last Thursday.
Sheriff Derek O’Carroll sentenced the 33-year-old to 50 hours of unpaid work on each offence, resulting in a total of 150 hours of unpaid work in the community.
