A MOTORIST whose vehicle had defective brakes was stopped by police in Musselburgh on Sunday night.
Roads police officers were in the town and stopped a Mercedes.
The incident was highlighted on social media where officers said: “It was found to have defective brakes and cord exposed on a rear tyre.
“Prohibited (PG9) from further use on the road and reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.”
