RICHARD E Grant will be appearing at Fringe by the Sea next month in conversation with Edith Bowman.
The Oscar and BAFTA-nominated actor, known for his breakout role in Withnail And I and who recently starred in psychological thriller Saltburn, is set to appear at the festival in North Berwick to discuss his life, achievements and new book.
Published in 2022, A Pocketful of Happiness was an instant Sunday Times bestseller, interweaving stories from his career as an actor and author with his take on love and loss.
Speaking to Grant about his life and career will be DJ, presenter, podcaster and cinephile Edith Bowman.
Bowman has hosted the BAFTA Film Awards and BAFTA Scotland Awards, presented Life Cinematic for BBC4 and produces a popular podcast covering music in movies.
Collaborating with Everyman Cinemas’ film club, the partnership last year included an interview with Emerald Fennell, director of Saltburn.
The conversation between the pair takes place on Tuesday, August 8, at the Big Top venue within the Lodge Grounds from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
A Pocketful of Happiness will be available to purchase at the event, after which Grant will be signing copies of the book.
Tickets cost £22.50; go to citizenticket.com/events/fringe-by-the-sea-2024/richard-e-grant-in-conversation to book.
