A MOTORIST has been banned from driving following a trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Laura Main was found to be in charge of a vehicle while having 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath – nearly four times the legal limit of 22mg in 100ml of breath – at Weir Crescent in Dalkeith on August 10, 2020.
During the arrest procedure, the 41-year-old then behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing.
Main denied the allegations but was found guilty following the summary trial at the city centre court last Wednesday.
Main, of Galt Road, Musselburgh, was banned from driving for 24 months and fined £520.
