TRIBUTES have been paid to a motorcyclist killed in a crash between Dirleton and Drem on Wednesday morning.

Glenn Campbell, 21, from North Berwick, was riding a green Kawasaki which was involved in a collision with a Scania tanker.

The road was closed for several hours following the incident, with police called to the scene at about 7.30am.

Now, tributes, including flowers, cans of Red Bull, a baseball cap and a Cadbury’s Fudge, have been left at the scene.

One note reads: “Taken too soon. Ride free pal. Forever in our hearts.”

Meanwhile, a hub cap has also been left with the message: “Taken too soon Glenn RIP”.

The driver of the tanker was uninjured and the road was closed to allow collision investigators to conduct enquiries.

Sergeant Barry Sommerville of Police Scotlabd said: “Our enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of this collision in which a man sadly died, and our thoughts are with his family at this time.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible."
