THE annual festival day in Musselburgh will be enjoyed at Musselburgh Racecourse next Saturday (July 27).

Sponsored by the Ravelston House Hotel, this is one of the final events of the Musselburgh Festival, which gets under way this weekend.

After the festival day ride out, locals and visitors alike are invited to a fun-filled afternoon at the racecourse.

There will be a music beer tent, headlined by The Lost Boys and including Fiona Grant and Jamie Lee Morley, while children can be treated to free funfair rides, a gaming bus, pony rides and face painting.

After last year’s successful day, organisers from the Honest Toun’s Association have invited extra rides and stalls to cater for demand.

Doors open at 1pm, with last entry at 4.30pm and the day drawing to a close at 6pm.

Entry for adults is £5 each and each adult can take up to four children free of charge but they still need tickets to attend.
