TWO flats previously turned into a single property will be returned to their previous layout.
The building on East Linton’s School Road was changed from two flats into a single, four-bedroom home nearly 20 years ago.
Now, David Hamilton-Smith has been given permission to reverse that change.
East Lothian Council’s planning department approved the scheme to create a two-bedroom property alongside a one-bedroom flat.
No objections were sent to the local authority, who noted the changes would “not be harmful to the architectural or historic character of the listed building”.
The flats were originally built in the 1870s by the Reverend T S Marjoribanks, of Prestonkirk, to create employment in the parish and were Category B listed in 1990.
