IT WAS less Swan Lake and more 'swan. . . brake!' for motorists on one of the county's busiest roads this morning.
For a bevy of swans decided to take a stroll on the A198 just east of the Meadowmill roundabout, next to Blindwells.
A concerned reader sent in this image and wanted to know if the 'family' were safe.
They said: "There were swan parents and eight cygnets on the move this morning, just before 7am.
"Thankfully, the traffic was very good [in ensuring their safety]. Does anyone know if they're OK?"
