A VIRGIN Media outage has left a number of residents without internet access since Monday.
Some customers of the broadband provider in Prestonpans and Tranent have been left without access to the internet – and some are worried that they won't be able to access web services again until next week.
Pictures seen by the Courier show online status updates from Virgin Media with July 15 being earmarked for when internet access will return.
Lisa, a Prestonpans resident who wishes to only go by her first name, said: "It has been a massive inconvenience as my TV, phone and internet all go through Virgin Media and to have all of them down for the past four days is really annoying.
"Everyone seems to be being told a different day that their internet will be back but I feel we are being shoved about at the moment."
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We’re aware a small proportion of customers in the Prestonpans area experienced some disruption to their services and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
"Services are now back up and running for the majority of those who were impacted, and our team of engineers are working to fully restore services for the remaining customers as quickly as possible.”
