A COUNTY man has admitted driving a vehicle while disqualified and with no insurance.

Harrison Burke was caught driving the vehicle on Pinkie Road and MacBeth Moir Road, Musselburgh, and near to his home on Park Drive in Wallyford on July 30 last year.

Police also discovered that he had no valid road insurance due to his previous ban and, following a search, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of cannabis.

Burke, 29, pleaded guilty to all three offences at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in May and sentence was deferred to last week.

But when the case called last Thursday, the court was told that no social work report was available and sentence was further deferred to today (Wednesday).
