Toilet plans REFURBISHMENT works are being lined up for the toilets at Dunbar Railway Station.

ScotRail has applied to East Lothian Council for listed building consent to make alterations.

According to the national body: “This project involves refurbishing the existing passenger toilets within the main station building, including the unisex WC and accessible WC.

"The aim is to enhance the quality of current passenger facilities and, as far as possible within the existing structure, provide toilet facilities that meet accessible standards.

"The existing toilet facilities are not original to the station, featuring modern flooring, sanitaryware, doors and tiling. These facilities are dated and in a fair but deteriorating condition.

"It is proposed to renew sanitary facilities to match the existing provision with the replacement of finishes.”

New doors, flooring, skirting and other equipment, including lighting and radiators, would be installed.
