FREE, fun, friendly Fridays are being held in the Musselburgh area by East Lothian Play Association.
The play rangers’ sessions are supported by Musselburgh’s Connected Communities initiative.
Suitable for primary-age children, all the sessions, from 1pm to 3pm, are drop in and feature activities such as den building, ball runs, dress up and art. A snack is provided.
Tomorrow (Friday), a play session takes place at Wallyford play park, next to the primary school.
Next Friday (July 12), the venue is Musselburgh East Community Learning Centre on Haddington Road.
Play sessions can also be enjoyed at Lewisvale Park, Musselburgh, on Friday, July 26, and Whitecraig play park on Friday, August 2. A pop-up play session is planned for Sunday, August 11, noon-3pm in Lewisvale Park, by the bandstand.
The play rangers support the children’s play but do not accompany them home. Young children should be supervised by a parent or carer.
