SUNNY Dunny is at the heart of a new limited edition cask beer being launched this summer.
From the middle of July and into August, Belhaven Scorcher will be available for people to enjoy.
Celebrating the award-winning Belhaven Brewery, the limited edition release is a 3.8 per cent bright session ale that is “full of citrus notes that offers a refreshing taste on warm summer days now that they have finally arrived”.
The seaside town is nicknamed Sunny Dunny due to the amount of hours of sunshine it enjoys each year.
The design also features the recognisable Belhaven Bridge – also known as the Bridge to Nowhere – which is just a short distance from the brewery.
Belhaven Brewery has been a part of Greene King since 2005, however it has been brewing beer for more than 300 years.
The hugely successful brewery offers a range of popular Scottish beers, including Belhaven Best session ale and Belhaven Black stout.
Will Hemmings, marketing director for brewing and brands at Greene King, said: “Our Belhaven Scorcher is also a brilliant new entry into the calendar and is a great opportunity for us to showcase the brilliant work and flavours of our much-loved brewery in Dunbar.
“As a session ale, Belhaven Scorcher is worth adding onto the bar to drive guests to explore flavours and styles this summer.”
Belhaven Scorcher, alongside King Mango, forms part of the wider Fresh Cask Releases calendar, a portfolio of 13 limited-edition cask beers available at specific times throughout the year.
