ROYAL Musselburgh Golf Club in Prestonpans is set to celebrate its 250th anniversary in style.
The club was founded in 1774 and, to celebrate this momentous occasion, it will be holding a gala dinner next Friday (July 5).
The dinner, in the clubhouse at Prestongrange, will welcome members and guests from other golf clubs, including other ‘royal’ clubs in the UK.
The dinner will be hosted by Pam Hall, the club’s first lady captain.
The two principal speakers will be Neil Donaldson, captain of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, and Prof David Purdie, golf historian, author and after-dinner speaker.
