FOUR male youths were seen running from a a petrol station just outside Musselburgh after a quad bike was stolen from a lorry in the early hours of Saturday.
Police are now making enquiries following the theft of the green Yamaha on Old Craighall Road.
At about 1.10am, the quad bike was stolen from a lorry and was seen being driven towards Old Craighall.
According to Police Scotland, the four male youths are said to have been wearing dark-coloured hoodies and balaclavas.
The green Yamaha bike is a 73 plate.
On social media, Police Scotland East Lothian said: "We are appealing for information after a quad bike was stolen from a lorry while parked at Granada Services on Old Craighall Road on Saturday, June 22.
"Around 1.10am, the quad bike was stolen off the lorry and was seen being driven in the direction of Old Craighall.
"Four male youths wearing dark-coloured hoodies and balaclavas were seen running from the area.
"The quad bike is a green Yamaha, 73 plate.
"Enquiries are ongoing to gather more information and we are viewing CCTV footage in and around the local area."
