A BID for a holiday let near Dunbar’s East Beach has won the backing of Dunbar Community Council.
Plans for a one-and-a-half-storey building in the garden of a property on the town’s Colvin Street were submitted to East Lothian Council in April.
A decision is yet to be made on James Forrester’s application but it has secured backing from the community council.
Members briefly discussed the plans last month and agreed to write a letter of support to the local authority’s planning department.
Drawings included with the application show a living area and shower room on the ground floor while upstairs features a bedroom.
