AN APPEAL has been made for green-fingered volunteers to come forward.
Beautiful Scotland judges will visit Haddington in August and cast their eye over the town’s horticultural hotspots.
A spokesperson for Blooming Haddington, the town’s team of volunteers, urged people who could spare an hour or two to help out.
They said: “We are now in the busiest months of the year for Bloom.
“Hanging baskets will shortly be hung, annual flowers are about to be planted, and they all will need watering over the summer.
“We will also be keeping Oriental Garden and Lady Kitty’s maintained ahead of the Beautiful Scotland judges visiting the town in August.
“We have a dedicated group of volunteers, but our numbers have reduced over time, partly during the pandemic, and we are struggling to keep up our high standards!
“To continue to make the town look amazing, we really need you to get involved.”
