NEW planters are being put in place throughout Haddington to add a touch of colour.
Green-fingered Blooming Haddington volunteers have already installed some of the planters.
Rab Moran, from the group, thanked staff at East Lothian Council for their support.
He confirmed more planters were to be installed.
The planters are replacing the three-tier versions, which will be used by other community groups across the county.
A spokesperson for the group said: “They have served us well over the last 10 years but we will be replacing them with new planters which allow us to have more sustainable plants and will need less water.
"We will be adding nature-friendly plants with year-round interest, with extra annuals, especially this year whilst the plants settle in and develop.”
