Musselburgh Amateur Swimming Club (MASC) is looking forward to hosting the open swimming gala as part of the 2024 Musselburgh Festival.
Former Commonwealth Games athleteCameron Brodie (pictured) will be in attendance to provide a demonstration swim and conduct the prize-giving at the event on Saturday, July 20.
The gala, which is open to swimmers aged six to 16, is a single race event with a 25m freestyle sprint for children aged seven and under, and a 50m freestyle for those aged eight and over.
Andrew Mc-Knight, the club’s head coach, said: “The festival gala is a highlight in our calendar every year and is always a lot of fun.
“The gala is a great opportunity for us to open up the club to the wider community, promote the benefits of swimming and, hopefully, encourage the next generation of MASC swimmers.”
The racing will take place from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at Musselburgh Sports Centre.
