HADDINGTON motorist Andrew Wilson has been given an interim road ban after he was caught behind the wheel of a vehicle while disqualified.

Wilson was also found to be more than twice over the drink drive limit when he was stopped by police on the town’s Whittingehame Drive in April this year.

Fifty-three-year-old Wilson pleaded guilty to the two offences during an appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month.

Sentence was previously deferred for social work reports to be prepared.

Last Tuesday, the court was told the reports were still outstanding due to a backlog.

Sheriff Peter McCormack agreed to defer sentence further to a date next month.

The Crown motion to have the vehicle forfeited was also continued to the sentencing hearing.

Wilson, of Priory Walk, admitted to driving a vehicle while serving a current driving ban at Whittingehame Drive, Haddington, on April 19 this year.

He also pleaded guilty to driving the vehicle with 58mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath during the same incident.
