MORE than £20,000 has been raised ahead of a 24-hour charity walk.
Dunbar will once again host a Relay For Life event at the town’s Hallhill Sports Centre this summer.
The walk, which sees relay teams continuously walk for 24 hours, takes place on June 22 and 23.
Ahead of the event, organisers confirmed that £4,000 was already banked and more than £16,000 had been raised for Cancer Research UK.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Thank you to everyone who has donated and had fundraisers to help us to reach this amazing total this morning, and good luck to anyone who is still to have a fundraiser. It’s all going to a wonderful cause.”
