TRANENT-BASED youth charity Recharge has urged members of the public not to park in its private car park, after members of staff were unable to use it.
The charity, which supports young people in East Lothian through social activities and clubs, shares its car park with the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration at its new site at Dewar House, off Loch Road, in Tranent.
A spokesperson for the charity said staff were unable to park last Wednesday, with cars not associated with the charity filling the car park, including the disabled space.
The spokesperson said: “Could we politely remind people that the small car park beside Recharge and the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration is a private car park.
"Unfortunately, every space has been taken up by cars with no connection to either organisation and this has included the disabled space, which is regularly used by both organisations.”
