HEAVY rainfall forced the closure of two roads this morning (Thursday) as motorists were urged to drive with care.
The B6363 Coal Road at Longniddry railway bridge was closed but following torrential rain but has since reopened.
However, a stretch of the A1 near Haddington remains closed.
A spokesman for East Lothian Council told the Courier: "The Coal Road at Longniddry is now open.
"The A199 is still closed due to the volume of water.
"In addition, the off slip road from the A1 down to Abbotsview Roundabout is currently closed due to debris washed onto the road.
"Clear-up work is currently taking place through BEAR Scotland."
