JELLIES, yoghurts and fruit drinks have been donated to a village’s after-school and breakfast club.

The group in Longniddry is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children from P1 to P7.

Representatives from Snappy Shopper, a home delivery app serving local convenience stores across the country, recently visited the club to speak to youngsters about their favourite snacks.

Cupcakes, popcorn, sandwiches and Jolly Ranchers emerged as clear winners, capturing the hearts and tastebuds of the children.

Snappy Shopper’s team then donated snacks including yoghurts, Fruit Shoot drinks, jellies and more for the children to enjoy.

Montse Molloy, after-school club manager, said: “We have such a wonderful community in Longniddry and we do our best to ensure our club is a part of this.

“The children at our club often enjoy building dens in the woods, rock-pooling at the beach, having fun at the park and doing their best to remain quiet in the library.

“A big thank you to Snappy Shopper for their kind donations – the children really enjoyed sharing their favourite snacks and were delighted to see lots of Fruit Shoots donated!

“We are proud to be engaged with the Snappy team and applaud their dedication to supporting children and their opinions on snacks.”

Longniddry After School Club is part of Edinburgh and the Lothians Out of School Care Network (ELOSCN), a charity providing play-affordable childcare to local families.

From nutritious breakfasts to after-school adventures, Longniddry After School and Breakfast Club aims to provide a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
