A GROUND-floor flat near the beach could become a holiday let in Dunbar.

East Lothian Council is considering allowing the change of use for the property on Lamer Street.

Currently, the one-bedroom property is used as a long-term let. However, with the tenant leaving “shortly”, owner Jon Glen is looking for the home to become a short-term let.

A statement with the application says: “It is a one-bedroom, ground-floor flat with its own door directly onto the street. Maximum occupancy would be four people but most likely to be just one couple. It is close to the beach and has its own parking.”
