FRESH fruit and vegetables will be on the menu at Haddington Farmers’ Market on Saturday.
The market, on the town’s Court Street, has welcomed thousands of visitors since 2000.
Home cooks will be spoilt for choice with a range of beef, lamb, pork, venison and seasonal vegetables available.
This is the time of year for a wide variety of nutritious vegetables, including asparagus, broad beans, cauliflower, lettuce, peas and summer squash.
On top of that, there are lots of flavours of ice cream, both dairy and non-dairy, plus apple juice, quiches, pies, traybakes, sourdough bread, jams and chutneys.
Haddington Pipe Band will be participating in the Haddstock Festival, which will be providing entertainment in and around the town all weekend.
A total of 26 stalls offering a diverse range of food, drinks, crafts, gifts and entertainment will be on hand from 9am to 1pm.
