RESURFACING works on a busy East Lothian road will resume this evening (Thursday), despite ongoing wet weather.
Transport Scotland’s operating company, BEAR Scotland, cancelled the roadworks on the A1 last night (Wednesday).
The works are part of 16 nights of “carriageway improvements”, which got under way near East Linton on May 7.
Work will take place from 7.30pm tonight through until 6am tomorrow (Friday).
Resurfacing works are to take place on the westbound section of the road at Tyne Bridge and also west of Monksmuir.
Diverted vehicles will be signposted along the A199 where they can rejoin the busy road at Abbotsview Junction, Haddington.
