A SNAPSHOT from farming history will be uncovered at a special event in Haddington next week.
Margaret Cannon launches her book, A Farmer in East Lothian, at the town’s John Gray Centre.
The book features more than 700 letters written by the author’s grandfather, Hugh Miller, who farmed at West Fortune.
The book of letters, written between 1910 and 1934, opens a door into the life of a man of influence but also provides an illustration of agriculture in Scotland in the early 20th century, and the changes over the past 100 years.
The event, tomorrow (Monday) from 6pm, offers people the chance to buy a copy of the book for £15.
Places are limited; to book a spot call 01620 820680.
