RESURFACING works scheduled for tonight (Wednesday) on the A1 have been postponed due to poor weather conditions.
Sixteen nights of “carriageway improvements” got under way near East Linton on May 7.
The westbound section of the road at Tyne Bridge and then west of Monksmuir were due to be resurfaced.
Work was due to get under way at 7.30pm tonight and run through until 6am tomorrow (Thursday).
However, a spokesperson for Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland has confirmed: “Due to forecast adverse weather, tonight’s planned works on the A1 will be postponed until further notice.”
