A YELLOW weather warning for rain will be in place impacting the whole of East Lothian from tomorrow.
The warning will be in place from noon on Wednesday until 6pm on Thursday.
The Met Office has warned that there will be a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services as a result of the weather, as well as flooded roads and delays to bus and train services.
The warning reads: “An area of heavy rain is expected to move northwest across Scotland from Wednesday afternoon, with rain most persistent across northern and eastern hills.
“Rain is likely to turn more showery through Thursday in central and southern areas. There remains some uncertainty on the duration and placement of the heaviest outbreaks, but there is a small chance that it will become slow-moving over Moray and northern Aberdeenshire, and to a lesser extent Lothian and Borders.
“Should this happen then some places could see 60-80mm of rain falling in 12 hours, with a very low chance of 100mm.”
Further details can be found on the Met Office website.
