AN ORMISTON man has been caught driving while over the legal limit for having drugs in his system.
Jordan Coyle was stopped by police while behind the wheel of a vehicle and found to have 2.6mg of delta-9-tetrahydrocannibinol – a chemical found in cannabis – per litre of blood on November 24, 2022.
The legal limit is 2mg.
Coyle, of Wishart Place, had been driving his vehicle on Muirpark Road and Ormiston Crescent East in Tranent at the time of the offence.
The 29-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Monday to plead guilty.
Sheriff Fiona Tait issued Coyle with a driving ban of 12 months and fined him £320.
