The countdown is on for a landscape art competition at Fisherrow Harbour in Musselburgh.
The event, launched by organisers of the Musselburgh Open Studio Weekend, takes place at 10am on Saturday (May 25).
Artist Alistair McIntyre said: “The people taking part can produce any kind of art they want in any medium that they prefer.
“We do stipulate that people respect other users of the venue at the harbour and clear everything away afterwards and leave the space as it was found.”
He, along with other local artists Jacky Thow and Nancy Bryce, are the judges and there are cash prizes up for grabs.
The Open Studio Weekend will get under way on July 27.
Mr McIntyre said: “Anyone can join us as long as they have access to a venue, such as home, business premises or garden, in the Musselburgh area.”
